Health and Safety Measures

The emergence of the NB.1.8.1 variant ("Nimbus") has led to a rise in COVID-19 cases. While current vaccines remain effective against severe illness, we are committed to safeguarding the health of our clients and staff. 

​

We understand if some of our clients would like to use alternative communication methods to reduce physical contact and therefore if you feel a face-to-face appointment is not appropriate we offer the alternative methods of appointments:

• Video Calls: Utilise platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams for consultations

Understanding the NB.1.8.1 Variant

​

The NB.1.8.1 variant, identified in early 2025, has been detected in over 20 countries, including the UK. It is characterized by increased transmissibility and a range of symptoms: 

​

• Common Symptoms:

  • Severe sore throat ("razor blade" sensation)

  • Fatigue

  • Mild cough

  • Fever

  • Muscle aches

  • Nasal congestion

  • Gastrointestinal issues (nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea)

While the variant is more contagious, there is no current evidence suggesting it causes more severe illness than previous strains. Vaccines continue to offer protection against severe disease.
